We own three Total Gym Model 2400s (or the equivalent) in our physical therapy clinic/post-rehab fitness center. Both the physical therapists and the personal trainers use them constantly. It's is great to have such a variety of exercise options with one machine!

I had reconstructive surgery on my knee in the morning. That afternoon I began rehabbing my knee on the Total Gym. A week later, my doctor asked how many days I used crutches and I answered not at all and mentioned that I ran 4 days after the surgery. I am a professional sports photographer. During a game I was shooting, I ran to avoid a collision on the sidelines of a football field. The doctor was amazed at my rate of recovery, mentioning that whatever it was I was doing was more than sufficient than prescribed physical therapy. Upon leaving the office, I recommended the Total Gym to him as a product he should recommend to his patients. I have owned almost everything out there and the Total Gym does what it is advertised to do and in my opinion, is the BEST.

It's true; I'm a walkin' talkin' testimonial for Total Gym. In the past forty years, I've stayed in shape by working out in various gyms with all kinds of machines and equipment. My recreational passion has always been alpine skiing, which unfortunately, I had to give up as a result of the onset of spinal stenosis (arthritic back) in 1994. After corrective surgery, I was introduced to Total Gym at a physical therapy clinic. After totally recovering from the surgery, I was back skiing and working out at the local athletic club. About a year later, my wife and I saw the Total Gym infomercial and I recognized the machine as being similar to the one from the clinic. Since purchasing the Total Gym five years ago, we have not been back to the local club. It's so quick and easy, twenty minutes a day, three times a week. Best investment we've ever made in taking care of our physical well-being.

I wish to thank you for the most incredible exercise machine I have ever worked out on. I have had major back surgery in the L-4,L-5 area of my spine and have had nothing but pain and stiffness ever since 1982.
After rehab, I purchased the Total Gym. I've now worked out on it for three weeks and have gained most of my flexability back. I don't have near the pain that I had and my range of motion is almost as good as before the surgery. Believe me, there is no way now that I would give up my Total Gym for anybody. I work out everyday on this machine and love every moment of it. It is almost addicting. Thank you very much for developing this machine. It is allowing me to do things again that I thought I would never do again and the pain level is to the point that I have stopped most of my drugs.

...I have already lost the 25 pounds I gained while sitting inactive waiting for the doctor to release me to physical therapy. My strength level is back up and I am once again down to 14% body fat. As a matter of fact, my strength is above what it was before the accident. The doctor saw me this past Wednesday and said I had definitely fully recovered. I can't thank you enough. Every time someone asks how I recovered so fast, I tell them to get a Total Gym and use it daily, and you will see how.

I had 90% of my body burned in a fire. During my rehab, I was introduced to the Total Gym. I asked about this machine and was told that any good rehab unit uses them. I asked if it was recommended for someone like me to have one at home...of course, they told me. So, I bought one. With my burns I need to stretch all the time and it does this better than I have found elsewhere.
Let me tell you, anyone can use it. Once you get your workout down, you'll just fly through with ease and have fun also since it doesn't seem to put the stress on your body that I found other workouts do.
Thanks Total Gym, since two years ago, I can now walk, run, climb, kayak, box, bike...and work again. I highly recommend this product to all burn victims.

I am 40 years old and a member of a Police Swat Team. I had been using my Total Gym as a way to stay in shape. Three months ago, I underwent knee surgery (ACL reconstruction). One month ago I began using my Total Gym as part of my rehab. It is important that I get full strength back in my knee as soon as possible. The progress that I achieved by using the Total Gym was amazing. It increased my knee flexibility, strength and endurance beyond my therapist's expectations. As a result of my progress from the Total Gym, I was able to stop my formal therapy and complete my exercises at home. This is an excellent piece of equipment. I have found that I get a better and more satisfying workout in the privacy of my home than I could ever hope for in a weight gym.

...I'm a volunteer firefighter/EMT in Prince George's County, Maryland, so staying in shape is a matter of life or death not only for me, but also for the people I try to protect. On New Year's Eve, 1998, I was at the scene of a minor auto accident on the highway when a passing motorist lost control of his Jeep and smashed into my emergency vehicle. I was supposed to be helping the victims of the first accident and now, I was being rushed to the hospital with muscle injuries and a broken bone in my lower back. At first, I couldn't even stand up. But after months of rehab, I was finally able to move like a normal person again and was cleared to return to duty. Unfortunately, I had lost a lot of muscle tone and gained 30 pounds along with 4 inches on my waistline. My doctor said that my back was strong enough for duty, but I knew that the rest of my body wasn't. So, I began to use my Total Gym with renewed vigor. Sure enough, just a few months later, I had shed almost all of the excess weight, gotten back down to a 32 waist and was once again lifting and carrying heavy loads with ease. And the best thing was that, with the Total Gym it was easy to make sure that I was exercising the targeted muscles without risking another injury to my lower back. I'm happy to say that I am once again on duty several days a week at my volunteer fire station. I guess you could say that I'm very pleased with my Total Gym.

Being as active as I always have been, the resistance type of training offered by the Total Gym has been excellent in helping me to stay strong and to continue working the major muscle groups that I need to in order to not only recover from multiple major surgeries, but to also ride again and keep riding. What I especially like is that I can focus on specific muscle groups and not worry that I don't have adequate lower back support. Additionally, because of the time-intensive nature of my current profession, it also offers an effective workout in a time-efficient manner. My husband has a chronic circulatory condition but also uses the Total Gym. It's great that we can both have very individualized exercise programs (that are essentially very different from one another) and have one piece of equipment.
Although we are both professional folks, we are by no means wealthy. What really helped us make the decision to invest in one of your top-of-the-line models is that the Total Gym has been used in rehab clinics for years. This has provided us with some assurance that our money has been well spent and that the product has undergone continued development over a period of time.
I look forward to working out on this machine and feel it to be both safe and effective.

I ordered a Total Gym back in 1998. It turns out that the day I ordered it, I was involved in a motor-vehicle accident. Well, while I was in rehabilitation, the physical therapist had an old model of the Total Gym. Mind you, I still hadn't used mine yet because I was in the accident several hours after ordering mine. I used the one she had. I remember thinking to myself that if the one I ordered, the new model, was anything like the old one, I was going to be very happy. After all was said and done, and I have used the one I ordered, I am most pleased with it.
